Originally from Eastern Washington, I’ve lived in the beautiful city of Gig Harbor since 2014 along with my husband, our daughters, and our fur-son Jax. I graduated from the Dental Assisting program at YVCC and YV-Tech in 2013.
Why did you choose dentistry?
My priority as a dental assistant is to maintain a comfortable atmosphere and experience for our patients.
What’s the best part of your job?
Seeing patients overcome dental fear and become comfortable visiting our office knowing they are getting great quality care and attention.
What aspect of your personality adds the most value to the office?
Organization and attention to detail. I am responsible for a variety of background functions which are essential in keeping staff and patients safe.
What do you do outside of the office?
Spending time with family and friends, working on my jewelry collections, and playing board games.
Share an interesting fact about yourself.
I knew how to read in Spanish before I could fluently speak it.
I’m originally from Southern California. My husband is currently serving in the U.S. Navy and after living in Oahu, Hawaii, we received orders to Washington in 2017. We have two kids and one good looking dog.
Why did you choose dentistry?
Having braces as a teenager inspired me to go into dentistry. I found it interesting how you can move teeth and create a beautiful smile. I also had family members who worked in the field and encouraged me to pursue dental assisting school. After a couple of years assisting, I was interested in the administrative side of dentistry.
What’s the best part of your job?
The best part of my job is helping patients understand and utilize their dental benefits. I treat my patients as if I was helping my parents understand insurance coverage. It can be stressful and confusing but I try to help to the best of my knowledge.
What aspect of your personality adds the most value to the office?
Although I’m little, my spunky personality and being the “Office Mom” brings value to the office. I like to be around a positive environment and try to make the best out of situations by making jokes and telling stories and making sure everyone is ok.
What do you do outside of the office?
I enjoy exploring our small businesses and restaurants WA offers along with the beautiful scenery. However, I do enjoy being a homebody and making my house clean and cozy for my family.
Share an interesting fact about yourself.
I hated moving around as a child, and then I ended up marrying a military man!
I have a beautifully blended family of four awesome adult children and one amazing grandson!
Why did you choose dentistry?
Not knowing what I wanted to be when I grew up, I was lucky enough to fall into dentistry in 1991 as a dental assistant. Being a lover of education I completed my dental hygiene associates degree in 2001 and then went on to complete my bachelor’s in dental hygiene.
What’s the best part of your job?
I enjoy building relationships with my patients to help guide and coach them to a state of whole body health through improved oral health.
What aspect of your personality adds the most value to the office?
I like to stay on top of the newest interventions of dental hygiene practices and study regularly. I actively support and promote my profession through volunteer leadership with our local chapter of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association.
What do you do outside of the office?
Outside of the office, I enjoy golf, family game nights, music concerts and travel.
I was born in the Fiji Islands, but I’ve lived in Washington for over thirty years, and I love the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. I live in Gig Harbor with my husband, our three girls and our dog Holly.
I started my career as a dental assistant in 1995 and became a dental hygienist in 2002. I earned my Degree in Dental Hygiene from Shoreline Community College and I pursue as many continuing education courses as possible.
Why did you choose dentistry?
I chose dentistry because I enjoy building a relationship with patients. I have the opportunity to educate patients about the importance of oral health with a whole body approach.
What’s the best part of your job?
The relationships I build with my patients and coworkers.
What aspect of your personality adds the most value to the office?
The care and attention I provide to my patients and my easy going personality.
What do you do outside of the office?
In my spare time, I enjoy camping, traveling, hiking, gardening, baking and cooking.
I am lucky enough to call the PNW home and grew up on beautiful Fox Island. I graduated from Gig Harbor High School and went right into the dental field. After High School, I attended Clover Park Technical College and earned my Dental Assisting degree. From there I continued right on with dental hygiene, and was accepted into Seattle Central College.
While taking my dental hygiene classes, I was able to work as a dental assistant and continue learning in the field in real time. On the weekends I stayed extra busy working at the local coffee shop in the harbor- Some of my patients may recognize me from my days working as a barista!
After receiving my Dental Hygiene degree, I decided it was time for another adventure and decided to move to Europe. I was able to work as an RDH in Germany for a few years before coming back home stateside. I decided I wasn’t ready to move back to the PNW, so decided to give San Antonio, Texas a try for a few years. It was there where I continued my education into Myofunctional Therapy.
Since 2018 I have been helping patients with Myofunctional therapy needs. I have continued educating myself in the field of airway and Myofunctional therapy and have taken many other courses.
Why did you choose dentistry?
There is something about being able to help others with their health that is the most rewarding feeling.
What’s the best part of your job?
I love being able to help patients get to the root cause of a problem. I am so happy to be in the health field and educate my patients. Through dental, I have been able to volunteer and share my expertise to many deserving populations.
What do you do outside of the office?
Besides being a devoted RDH and Myofunctional therapist, I am a devoted Pacific Northwestern!
I love all things outdoors. During the summer time you can find me hiking, wakeboarding, shopping at the local farmers markets and winter time you will find me on the mountain snowboarding. Although I love where I am from, nothing fullfills my soul more than travel. I love traveling the world, meeting new people, trying new foods and being part of the local culture.
Born and raised in Seattle, WA with roots from Guadalajara, JAL. My family recently moved to Tacoma from Redmond, WA.
Why did you choose dentistry?
Although I love dentistry, it wasn’t my first choice! I was interested in marketing and worked in a sales office at a Hilton hotel, but was laid off during the pandemic. I coincidentally met the owner of the dental office where I was a patient and I started working there, you could say it was love at first sight!
What’s the best part of your job?
I love helping people! I’m one of the stepping stones for patients to be able to come in for their treatments, so something as simple as scheduling an appointment or explaining treatment to a patient makes me happy, and makes me feel like I’m making a difference in their health.
What aspect of your personality adds the most value to the office?:
My lively personality! I keep all my co-workers on their toes.
What do you do outside of the office?
Working out and watching anime are my top activities! I’m also a big foodie, so I’m always trying to find a new place to eat especially now that I moved to Tacoma.
What's one item from your bucket list?
Go to China to eat good Chinese food, go to Italy to eat pasta, the list is endless but they all involve food.

I love learning languages! I speak English, Spanish and Chinese fluently.
was born and raised in Houston, Texas where I also met my husband. We moved to the great PNW from Central Texas on military orders as my husband is currently serving in the Army. We have one beautiful son together (a 4th generation Houstonian) and 3 lively pups at home.
Why did you choose dentistry?
I chose dentistry because, ironically, I really dislike receiving dental care but have always loved how kind and accommodating the staff can be at the dentist and wanted to be a part of that experience for the patient.
What’s the best part of your job?
The best part of my job is being able to assist in making a trip to the dentist a swift and easy process as well as providing any extra clarity when it comes to their dental care. The consistency of my schedule is also a huge plus so that I still have the opportunities to spend time with my family.
What aspect of your personality adds the most value to the office?:
My bubbly personality and sense of humor is what I feel adds the most value to the office. I am always able to find the light in situations and love making people smile in efforts to feel more at ease at the dentist.
What do you do outside of the office?
Outside of the office you can find me kayaking, hiking or trying new restaurants and coffee spots! The beautiful scenery and climate here has been such a joy to experience, especially coming from Texas.
Share an interesting fact about yourself.
One item from my bucket list that I most recently was able to cross off was to attend the Taylor Swift Eras tour in Seattle! We got floor tickets to the show and it was unforgettable.

Growing up I loved going to the dentist so finding a career in the dental field was exciting!
What’s the best part of your job?
Getting the opportunity to know my patients personally, as well as being able to treat their diverse dental needs. I enjoy the challenge of each new case and helping my patients feel comfortable and well cared for.
What do you do outside of the office?
I love to cook and feed people.

I spend most weekends riding/racing dirt bikes with my family. We are always off exploring our next adventure! I also enjoy gardening when I’m home.
