January 27, 2015

The Entire team here at Keith Gressell DDS, were thrilled with my delicious recipe for kale chips! So we decided to share the delicious recipe with you! So here is the amazing recipe your Gig Harbor Dentist, Dr. Gressell shared:

Kim's Kale Chips

1 bunch of lacinto or dinosaur kale

1T olive oil

1T pecorino Romano (I use less)

Himalayan sea salt

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees

Strip:

the green part of the leaves of the center stalk of the kale leaf.

Place in a plastic zip lock gallon or plastic produce bag from the

grocery store. Drizzle olive oil over it and really knead it in,

distributing the oil over all of the kale leaves.

Arrange:

the leaves on baking heets. I like to use parchment paper. Sprinkle

lightly with salt and a pinch of Romano. Bake for 10-12 minutes until

crispy. If the leave brown a bit they're a little more bitter - but

personally I like bitter!

Tip: The parchment makes it easier to put

on a serving platter, just pick up the edges and they fall into place,

nicely lined up. If stored prior to serving, place in a wide shallow

bowl you can cover o make airtight.

Enjoy! And remember to check your teeth before you smile!
